Center Asia By means of the central Asia region, which is the geographic center of Asia. The peoples of this region have a common origin and historical destiny, customs, the same way of life. These are the Tuva, Khakassia, Buryat, Altais and Mongols. Culture of these people is a culture of nomads, moving from a large, sparsely populated area whose lives are completely tied to their herd, whether it be horses, sheep, camels in the case of Altai, western Tuvinian, Mongolian or deer in the case of eastern Tuvinians and Khakassia. For many centuries people’s lives remains virtually unchanged, irrespective of the territory of any state entities they are. North and east of this region is mountainous taiga, covering the Altai and Sayan mountains, numerous rivers, swamps and almost complete absence of roads. The population of these areas is extremely small and is engaged in reindeer herding and hunting. It is in these areas remained shamanistic beliefs in a pure, untouched by civilization form. West, center and south of this region are semi-desert steppes, crossed by low treeless ridges. The population of these areas live a more compact, grazing of large herds. For those areas characterized by great influence of Buddhism and its confusion with a very ancient beliefs and customs. Buddhism and shamanism are so intertwined that it is very often a function of the shaman here performs a Buddhist Lama and vice versa, and in the minds of people between them is no great difference or contradiction. It is very clear to see from where comes the peculiarity of the Tibetan and Mongolian Buddhism, in which a thick layer of worship of the powerful beings who direct their vision, communicate with them, they need to make offerings. People around the world of mountains, forests and steppes are harsh, hard and at the same time lively, animated. Alive, having a soul and consciousness are the specific rivers and mountains. However, there is a representation of the spirits-masters of the mountains, passes, individual tracts and rivers. The universe is multi-layered, inhabited by numerous creatures and spirits.
